## Instructions

Exam: Examined vital systems — General Appearance, Eyes, Ears, Respiratory System, Abdomen, Skin, Musculoskeletal System, Circulatory System, Urinary & Reproductive Systems. Also examined Mouth, Teeth and Gums — professional dental cleaning recommended.

**Buprenex injectable:** Injectable opiate for mild to moderate pain. Lasts about 6 hours. May cause mild sedation and mild respiratory depression.

**Buprenex oral:** Can be given up to three times a day for pain management. Most common side effect is mild sedation and respiratory depression.

**Elizabethan Collar:** Prevents pet from bothering the healing area. Keep collar clean and dry. Watch pet for 2-3 days until used to wearing it.
